Winner Of The 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition Warsaw 2015 – 10 Years Anniversary Edition

SEOUL, November 9, 2015 – On Friday morning, shoppers across South Korea rushed to record stores to buy the debut live album by young pianist Seong-Jin Cho, who had won the Chopin Piano Competition just 17 days earlier, on Deutsche Grammophon. Stores opened early that day to meet the demand, and national television crews filmed the unprecedented scenes.

Ten years later, Cho is a global star who sells out major concert halls around the world. However, his Chopin Piano Competition Winners Album, which made the young Korean famous overnight, was previously only available on vinyl in Korea, where it became a sought-after collector's item after its original release.

To mark the tenth anniversary of his victory at the Chopin Piano Competition, Deutsche Grammophon is now releasing a limited international version of the LP for the first time, with a new audiophile half-speed master from Emil Berliner Studios and new artwork featuring a large DG cartouche.

Tracklisting:

A Preludes Op. 28 No.1~No.14

B Preludes Op. 28 No.15~No.24

C Piano Sonata No. 2 In B Flat Minor Op. 35

D1 Nocturne In C Minor Op. 48/1
